I hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday so far. I wanted to share a post about all of the things that I am loving right now, from jewelry, to make up, to hair products. Over the past couple months I have tried a few new products (I tend to do that from time to time…) and I wanted to highlight some of them. But before I do that I have to share something funny that I did that really cannot be explained as anything other as a lack of better judgment and maybe lack of common sense.

I was doing laundry and as I grabbed for a pod of detergent I realized that there must have been a pod that had leaked because my fingers were sticky and had detergent on them. So…I figured why wouldn’t I rinse out the plastic container and clean it out, right? So I dumped out the pods and started rinsing out the bin I keep them in. Then I proceeded to dump the pods into the sink to rinse those off too, after I threw away the one that had exploded. As I began rinsing off the pods I was realizing they were becoming harder and harder to handle. Then I realized they were literally disintegrating in my hands…
As I yelled out to Kenny in the great room to let him know what was happening, it hit me…I mean really? What the heck were they supposed to do when they came into contact with water? They are detergent pods! Their job is to disintegrate when they come into contact water…
At that point they were ruined and I had created a huge mess in the sink. The more water that touched them the bigger mess I created. I had to pour them all into a Kroger bag and then toss them into the trash. LOL. As funny as it was as it was happening, I realize just how stupid I was for not realizing what was going to happen when I started the whole ordeal.
Now onto the real post…I’m just going to start listing off the products I want to tell you about and try to give you as much information about them as possible…links, pictures, etc.
I know I have shared a couple of coupon codes with everyone over the past couple of days. I’m sorry they were coming all at once, but they both just happened to be created for me on the same day. I have never had something like that happen to me before so I got kind of excited. I explained in my FB post that I have become a Brand Ambassador for Kinsley Armelle. They’re a jewelry company that I have always been a fan of and finally got up the nerve to reach out to them about promoting their products on my blog. In order to get a coupon code you have to be “approved” through an application process and then sign off on a bunch of agreements. There is a small commission applied when my coupon code is used and I have to accumulate a certain amount of sales in order to keep the coupon active, but who doesn’t love a coupon code with a discount, right? I know I use them all the time. If it ends up not working out, then so be it…but it’s definitely a fun little adventure for me. It’s not like I’m looking to supplement my income with this, it’s just something fun that I thought would be a great way to get more involved in the “blogging” world.
So by now you know the deal….go to www.kinsleyarmelle.com and use “steph15” when you check out. If you end up using a different code or purchase sale items that my code won’t apply to, then choose “ambassador” for how you found out about them and type in my name. I’d love to keep this thing going for as long as I can! I’m waiting for my Ambassador starter kit so I can feature a bunch of their new pieces. For now I’m just sharing the pictures that I find online. I can’t wait until they’re actually my own products to feature!
The other coupon code I shared with everyone doesn’t involve any profit for me at all, I just reached out to the retailer because I love her products and I wanted to feature them on here! She created the code for me and here we are! I’ve featured some of her rings on my Wardrobe Wednesdays and I recently purchased a necklace from them that I am in love with! See the pics below and check out their shop. Go to the Lavender Blue shop on Etsy and use “steph20” for 20% off everything in her shop!

So as I have been taking pictures of my hands I have come to realize that they are not looking as youthful as I’d like. I remembered that I had received a free sample of the Rodan & Fields hand treatment a while ago so I thought I’d give it a try again. I tried it when I got it a year ago, but never stuck with it. I’m not sure if I’m just seeing things, but if you look at the split screen below I think I can definitely see a difference in just 2 weeks of use. My color is a lot more even and there was a spot on my skin that I feel as if I can barely even see anymore. See for yourself below.
Up next…Rose Water. I follow several bloggers and Instagram accounts that do make-up tutorials. I have been noticing many of them using rose water on their faces prior to putting on moisturizer, on their face after doing make-up to “set” their face, and on make-up sponges prior to blending in foundation because it’s so healthy for your skin. So I did some research on it and found that it is, indeed, good for your skin! If you don’t believe me, read for yourself in this article that lists 10 benefits of rose water for skin. I purchased a set of rose water and green tea spray from Amazon and I love them both! I’m including the link below.
As I mentioned before, I follow a lot of people on Instagram that do make-up tutorials and most of them market a certain make-up brand they represent. A few that I have been watching lately have been representatives from Younique. I have never tried this line of make-up, but one of the girls I follow is a top seller for them and was advertising a bundle with a lip gloss, mascara, and eye shadow palette, so I figured, what the heck?…I’ll give it a whirl.
Well….I could not be happier with the mascara and eye shadow. I could do without the lip gloss because the color was just not at all what I imagined, but the mascara alone was worth me finding! I am typically an “over the counter” kind of girl when it comes to make-up, but I can understand why sometimes it’s necessary to spend a little more money if you want quality. Check out the pics below of my eye lashes using this stuff. Now, I will admit that I have been using Lash Boost from R&F for about a year now, but this mascara has made such a huge difference for how my lashes look, promise! You have to purchase this from a Younique retailer or you can find some on sites like Ebay or Poshmark for sale. I can pass along the girl’s name I use if you’re interested, but seeing is believing if you ask me!
The eyeshadow goes on so smoothly and is so gorgeous. At the end of the day the colors almost look as if they were just put on. I will definitely be a repeat customer when colors run out! The only downfall is that you are choosing from pictures of the colors and it’s hard to know which you really want. I took a chance and one of them below was waaaaay different than I expected…but I’ll deal. I’m including pictures of my color palettes below. That’s right…palette(s)…plural. The deal was still going when I realized I was in love with the mascara so I ordered another set. Again…not impressed with the lipgloss color I chose this time either, but the eyeshadow and mascara were why I really ordered anyway.

There are a few other items I wanted to tell you about, but I’ll just list them with captions…because this post is becoming waaaaay too long and I don’t want you to lose interest. I even had a couple more items I planned to talk about, but I’ll save them for another post!
Looooove the shade and feel of this gloss! I bought another just so I could one at work and one at home… Got this at Target and love how it feels and lasts pretty much all day. I use instead of any liquid foundation. Read about this online and honestly, I’ve never used a make-up primer, but have heard it’s great for making make-up last all day. This stuff goes on so soft and smooth, feels great on my face! I wrote about Cuticle Candi on my “Nails & Beauty” page a while ago…if you value the health of your cuticles when doing a great manicure, then you need to get a few of these. I have them everywhere…like chapstick. They smell amazing and really help your manicure last longer! Check out the link for more details about this company. They have several delicious scents to choose from!
Well friends…I’m going to sign off for the night. We have Chipotle being delivered soon (using DoorDash) and I will be gladly enjoying my burrito bowl here shortly!
