Can I Have Another Sunday?

I usually make it a priority to schedule as few things going on in a weekend as possible. After all, I need to catch up on hanging with the kids, cleaning the house, doing all the laundry, and then maybe squeeze in some binge watching of whatever I have on DVR. And don’t forget that I have a nail routine I have to keep up with every other weekend. This weekend? Fail.

We had multiple events going on both days over the weekend. All things that are fun and allowed us time to see family and be outside, etc, but at the end of the day (literally…now…it’s the end of the day) I feel like I have so much that I didn’t accomplish around the house. I squeezed in a few loads of laundry and actually managed to get them put away and I rushed around with a vacuum for 10 minutes right before leaving for Kenna’s volleyball game today, but I just felt like I didn’t get to just relax this weekend. I’m already looking to next weekend and Saturday’s a bust, but I think I may be able to manage some laying around and chilling on Sunday. Just maybe.

It seems like this is pretty par for the course in spring though and it’s fine. So many birthdays happen in our family during the spring, there are communions, graduations, Mother’s Day, and don’t forget just random cook-outs and get togethers because everyone in Cincinnati must take advantage of all weekend days that have sun and a temperature over 60 because you just never know how many of those you’ll get in April and May.

Of course I say most of this in jest because it’s great to have parties to go to and it’s great to eat and hang out with family. I am just the kind of person that so appreciates quiet time at home with very few commitments. It’s just crazy how fast the weekend flies by when you’re running around!

Now it’s time for your regular scheduled programming…Last week’s outfits and random fashion blog talk.

So…as I troll Instagram and watch all of the bloggers that I wish I was more like…I always see certain products that I want to try. It usually takes me a few weeks before I just can’t take it anymore and then I end up caving and trying them. My latest “try” is Function of Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner. You take a quiz and answer some questions about your hair type and what you would like to get out of your shampoo and conditioner. You get to choose up to 5 different things to work on (volume, shine, frizz, length, etc). Then you get to choose the shampoo and conditioner color and scent. They even write your name on the bottles. Very nice touch. You can either order it as a one time order or sign up to have it come as a subscription. I chose the farthest date from now (6 months) because I wasn’t sure how long it would last and if I’d like it.

Well? I have used it twice so far and my hair has never felt better! I’ve been using a biotin based shampoo/conditioner because I am trying to grow my hair out and I just haven’t been very impressed with how my hair feels. After 1 use of this stuff my hair was so silky and shiny! It feels amazing and smells like peaches! I would highly recommend giving this a try. I’ll leave the link to the site with a referral that will get us both $10 off below. Let me know if you have any questions. It’s obviously more $$ than your typical Pantene or Suave from the store, but I don’t get all of the results that I’m hoping to get out of this special formula so I figure if it does all of the “things”, I’m in!

This is the profile for my product. I actually just edited mine to include the “reduce brassiness” because I found out that it helps your blonde look more blonde. I used to have “shininess” chosen. When you choose “reduce brassiness” the shampoo color automatically changes to purple. The bottle I have now is pink. Click on the pic above or click THIS LINK to try it yourself!

If anyone has a need for a purse organizer, I would give this one a whirl! I have it in hot pink and in the “large” size for my bag. It’s a pretty big purse. If you have a regular sized purse you would probably get a medium. I have that size in beige. I used it first and my big purse needed a bigger one. I love the concept of a purse that you can just throw anything in, but when you have too much stuff thrown in there you can’t find anything you actually need at any moment. Here enters the need for one of these!

That’s all I have for tonight folks…I’ve got to take off my makeup (that I’m normally not wearing at 9:20 on a Sunday night, LOL) and get into my comfy, bed time clothes so I can jump into bed and be ready for a fantastic Monday!
