I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted. The week got away from me and then we have conferences on Thursday night and by the time I got home it was 9pm and then there you go….here we are on a Saturday. That just means I have more to share!
Before I go into my outfits from this week I wanted to share a great review for athletic leggings that I just got from Amazon. I read about them on another bloggers site and then when I read the amazing reviews I purchased a pair. Well…now I’m going back on to get them in more colors because they are…Uh…Maze…Ing! High waisted, waist pocket, mesh on the side, thick enough not to see through in the hind area (and I’m wearing white ones!), and they are so comfortable. You can get them with or without the side mesh. The ones without side mesh have a pocket for your phone and things on the thigh instead. See my pic below and then I’ve linked the product info from Amazon below as well. For $15 you just can’t beat it. I know people pay over $50 for Lululemon athletic pants and if you read the reviews, many people say that they are forever switching from them to these. I’ve never purchased the Lululemon leggings so I can’t testify to the comparison.
I posted the pic of my front porch step on Instagram earlier this week, but I wanted to make sure I dropped it here too. I also updated our front door hanging for spring. I’m loving the look of the door mat on top of a patterned rug. It definitely adds a little more flare to the front step. And you could easily switch out the rug with different patterns for different holidays and seasons.
Now for some outfits and accessories! I’m including what I’m wearing today just to prove that I don’t dress up every day and to show that I really do prefer leggings and comfy t-shirts when I’m not at work. I also wanted to show off the fact that my hair now fits in a pony tail! If you don’t know me very well you wouldn’t know that this is a rare occurrence. I usually get my typical angled bob haircut freshened up every 2 months or so. I haven’t had my hair cut since right before Halloween. I’m not going to lie though…I’m itching to have my angled bob back every time I see people in pictures with cute short haircuts…but I’m staying strong.
I’m trying to resist cutting it so I can explore my options with messy buns, wavy hairstyles, etc. Things I just really can’t do with a super short haircut. (Pay no attention to my ridiculous looking right eyelashes in the 3rd pic) Every so often my eyelashes “shed” and start growing back and I think they look ridiculous. They’re like little baby eyelashes that make your lashes look so uneven. So annoying. I don’t get how one eye stays totally normal and the other does whatever you would call what is going on with mine! It seems to always happen to my right eye too. So odd. I tried looking it up online and didn’t find anything helpful. I’d love to hear what the heck someone else thinks if they’ve ever experienced this. It may be a result of the Lash Boost that I use, but I don’t how to figure that out without just stopping it altogether and I don’t want this to happen to both of them…
Now for some product features! (sponsored links)
The items below are from Kinsley Armelle and are currently in their sale section. I love them! They just released their new spring line and there are some bracelet stacks with 4-5 bracelets in them for a great price. And since the price isn’t a sale price you can use my “steph15” coupon code for a discount. I have a few of them in my cart right now. I wear my Kinsley bracelets in some combination or another every day and I always get compliments on them. They are so versatile and can really be combined with any of your currently owned jewelry.
My son’s birthday is Monday, March 18th and I was so mad when he didn’t come on the 17th. I thought it would be so cool to have him on St. Patrick’s Day! And I wanted him to get the green hat in the hospital. LOL. We were at a St. Patrick’s Day party all night and I kept thinking about what we would do if I went into labor. Considering Kenny was enjoying adult beverages and most everyone there wouldn’t have been in the right mind to really assist in any way. We made it home without any contractions, cramping, nada. My water broke at 9am the next day. Even though he was born the day after, he still got the hat. And I realized that when he’s turning 21 he’ll thank me because he’ll be able to celebrate all day on the 17th because his birthday is at midnight! I don’t drink green beer myself, but I’m sure it will be flowing all around the tri-state. If you are one that will be taking part in the green beer festivities, I hope you have a great time! I’ll try not to wait so long next time to post. I apologize this post was so long!
