Summer totally IS a state of mind! Especially when you work in the world of education and/or have children. Your entire world just operates differently when school is out. {Vacay Mode: ON}
Today was my first official day of summer without work. We leave for Hilton Head around 2am and we’re spending the day packing, cleaning, organizing our packing, etc. I’m one of those that likes to clean right up until the time we leave so when we come home it’s almost like a cleaning lady came while we were gone! It’s so satisfying to come home after a long vacation and know that you don’t have to immediately dive into any type of cleaning. [Summer Floodin’…Not Lovin’]
Nothing hurts the progress of putting in a pool than more rain! Our backyard is beyond a mud pit at this point and it is really putting a damper (literally) on our timeline! It’s not completely stopping us from using it, but it’s still not the same as if it were to be sunny (I’d settle for overcast at this point)…at least 3 days a week.
