Wardrobe Wednesday 2.6.19

Happy Wednesday Friends! It’s hard to believe that just one week ago most of the city was shut down because of negative temps, right? It is so gross and wet out, but I couldn’t resist getting my car washed this week because the disgusting layers of dirt that have been covering my car had worn out their welcome! I couldn’t brush up against the car anymore without practically ruining every outfit I was wearing. Deal breaker.

I’m already beginning to plan out my outfits for Valentine’s Day week next week. I think I’m going to shoot for purples, pinks, and reds leading up to V-Day. Stay tuned. I received a piece of jewelry today from my girl at Lavender Blue and I can’t wait to post about it next week! I’m going to be wearing it tomorrow. Hint: think layered gold necklaces…

I took Kenna to a basketball game this weekend that I was covering for school and we had a great time just hanging out having some girl time. She very rarely lets me do anything with her hair, it should be a rule that if a daughter gets to keep long hair that mom’s get to do whatever they want with it! But she actually let me do a little braid bun while we were there and I took a picture so she could see what it looked like. It lasted all the way until we were half way home. LOL.

We had a friend stay over the other night so they used the guest room. Which rarely ever gets used by the way, but after it does, I wash the sheets. Since I don’t really think to change the color scheme very often since I’m not washing and changing sheets all the time I decided to change up the sheet color. Well…this bed is a queen and all of my sheet sets are pretty much king sets because that is what we have. So…I improvised and thought I’d share my trick. Not that someone else hasn’t already thought to do this, but anyway…

I put the sheet on as if it was going to fit and pull all of the excess sheet to a corner that I can easily access. I grabbed a hair tie and pinched the excess sheet underneath the bed and tied it like you would a pony tail and tucked it under the mattress. And, voila! A sheet that should be on a king now fits a queen! I took a picture to be able to show what it looked like.

That’s all I have this evening peeps. Catch you on the flip side! Remember to enter your email to subscribe to my posts so they come directly to your email when they are posted. If you’re on a computer you’ll see it on the right sidebar and if you are on your phone you’ll see it at the bottom of this post when you scroll all the way down. Also…don’t hesitate to leave me a comment too! I’d love to hear what you think of a post every now and then. It’s hard when you really don’t know if anyone is even reading your stuff…I kind of just assume at least one person will and am pleasantly surprised if more do. 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
