Blog Update

Maycember…it’s a thing.

I saw a video from one of my favorite online families about how May feels like December, but without lights and gifts…and I couldn’t agree more! If you haven’t seen the videos that the Holderness Family has created, you have to check them out on YouTube. They make them all the time and they are hilarious! Very relatable to basically any parental situation and time of year. Follow them on Facebook and every time they create a new video it will come across your newsfeed. Their newest “Maycember” one is linked below. I felt it was very appropriate for this time of year.

Everyone is just about finished with school, but far enough away from the last day of school that it just doesn’t feel like the end is quite near enough. There are concerts, award banquets, plays, ceremonies, projects that are due, and so many other things that seem to all get crammed into the last 2 weeks of every school year. I’m not really sure why we do this to ourselves in the world of education, but I’m pretty sure it’s to keep student’s occupied and engaged as we get closer and closer to summer break. If students and teachers have things that are fun to look forward to, then maybe the last days leading up to the actual last day just won’t seem as long! Kind of like staring at the clock waiting for a minute to pass when you really want it to. It seems like there are 90 seconds in a minute every time. But when you are needing extra time? The minute seems to go by in 30 seconds. You feel me?

And as we are getting through May as best we can, we’re also trying to prepare for all of the cool things that are going to happen over the summer. I know I am. I’m stocking up on sunscreen and bug spray in my Amazon Subscribe and Save lists and am keeping my eyes peeled for cute 4th of July shirts, tank tops, and bathing suits for everyone in the family as we get ready for a shift in wardrobe needs.

I’m linking the sunscreen I’ve recently received below because I’m in love! The smell is so yummy and it actually makes we want to put sunscreen on when I leave the house. (It’s the Banana Boat Dry Sunscreen Spray below)

These are super cute and perfect for celebrating the 4th!

Need some ideas for Father’s Day? Jane has some very creative and unique ideas that I’ve linked below. There are many more than I show so check out the link below the pics if you’re interested in checking them all out!

I’m loving jewelry that has any type of significance to it, like initial necklaces and such. Kinsley Armelle just released their new Zodiac line of necklaces. They’re on sale right now too. They come in gold, silver, and rose gold. They have each Zodiac sign’s constellation on them. They are very cute and perfect for a little personalization as a little extra touch. Think of any 2019 graduate in your life, how cute would this be as a graduation gift?

Now to take a look at the outfits from this week. I actually managed to remember to takes pics for 4 whole days. One of them was taken in the garage on my way out to the car because I almost forgot completely. But I still got it!

Usually I’m not fitting in a post until Sunday night so it’s very refreshing that it’s only Saturday night! I hope everyone has a very relaxing Sunday and may the force be with you and your family as you get through the last couple of weeks of the school year.
