Blog Update

One [Step] at a Time…

Not that I can claim I’m the one actually doing the DIY project, but I definitely have a front row seat. Today we actually have steps! We think there is one more weekend before we can call this project finished. There are some finishing touches like vinyl lattice and things of that nature, but the actual structure will be complete. I can’t believe how nice the entire project looks. Hopefully, we’ll get another month or so of pool use since there’s no way we’ve seen the last of summer temps! Updated pics below:

I’m posting outfit pics for the first time this school year. Remember…since my rule is that I don’t repeat an entire outfit during a school year, it’s time to start over! It’s a very exciting time for me. Being able to start from scratch with my outfit choices is very refreshing.

Have you ever seen ads from Twisted Buffalo Boutique on Facebook? I have and I took a chance and bought a pair of leopard earrings and a leopard tumbler from them about a month ago. I would recommend them both! See pics and a link below.

Since I liked those products so much I purchased a cute “Game Day” tee in leopard and coasters for my car.

I’d like to report that I am very pleased with the leopard waist purse I purchased from Amazon. It fits my phone and allows me to hook my walkie and keys onto it. You could probably fit a chapstick or something else of that size in it, but I don’t need it for that. I’ll link it below if you want to give it a try.

And fall isn’t complete unless you have some cute and casual tees that have FALL written all over them, right?

Click the link below for all things Halloween from Jane. Decals for pumpkins, t-shirts, personalized candy bags, you name it!

And who doesn’t love a personalized seasonal yard flag? This deal ends in 5 hours. I just ordered #5!

I didn’t want to end my post with a downer, but before I leave for the night I would like to report that we may be losing one of our bearded dragons very soon. Saturday morning we discovered that one of beardeds had prolapsed. I won’t include any pictures because you’ll probably gag…but long story short…we think she was eating too many paper towels and her body couldn’t handle digesting and passing them any longer. I didn’t even know this was something to worry about.

Without an exotic vet to take her too on a Saturday morning all we could do was keep it in tact and try to push it back in. We attempted that tonight and it didn’t go very well. Not sure she will make it through the night. This will be my daughter’s 2nd bearded in a year. Her 1st one died at like 3 months and we have no idea why. This one is about a year and a half old. My son’s is about 5 years old and we’ve never had an issue. Reptiles definitely are difficult to feel out…it’s not like they wag a tail, whimper, bark, or anything like that. So everyone at our house is a little sadder tonight than usual because we know it’s likely we’ll be one member short very soon.

I will say that we’ve been enjoying the teaser fall weather that this weekend has provided! I know it won’t last, but man it got me in the mood for some chili and football! And we all know it must be fall when you see coffee shops selling pumpkin spice lattes and grocery stores selling Oktoberfest.

I hope everyone has settled into their new school year with the kiddos and have a fabulous week! Just think…we have a 3 day weekend to look forward to next week. Woo hoo!

I'd love to hear from you!
